OUR GYM

Heavy Metal Gym was founded in the 1980s as Kamloops’ first 24-hour fitness facility, built for people who took their training seriously long before fitness became a trend.

Today, Heavy Metal Gym is owned and operated by Angus Glasgow and Joe Doyle, both deeply rooted in the Kamloops community. Through partnerships with local businesses and collaboration with the City of Kamloops, they continue to play an active role in revitalizing the North Shore while preserving the gym’s raw, work-first culture.

Heavy Metal Gym has always been built on discipline, consistency, and hard work. That same mindset carries through Heavy Metal Gym Apparel - training-first clothing designed for real work, created to support lifters, fighters, and athletes through demanding sessions without gimmicks or compromise.

The gym itself is fully equipped for strength training, conditioning, cardio, boxing and martial arts - a space designed to handle everything. No distractions. Just the tools you need to train.
